    Doing oad work is definitely more beneficial than not doing it. Yea the older boxers in the 60s may have not did pad work but most modern boxers are obviously smarter than boxers from that time. People hate to say that and just love glorifying the past.

    big talk , but people who say this aint done nothing in way of fighting . lots of dojo crap but little actual fighting ability.. fact , training in a dojo aint fighting in a life and death situation , his nose says he aint never been punched on it , which equates to he aint had a fight . .. thus too many so called egg spurts wanna bees eager to post videos and talk the talk . but will come up with numerouse excuses not to accept the fight when it is presented to them .. my advice is S T F U

    Great video. I do train muay thai and specifically do sparring and pad work to drill some SD leaning moves. Just a couple things. Teeps are surprisingly effective. I really like the long guard (check out Jeff Chan's adaptation of it, it's very muay thai like) because you start off in a "I don't want any trouble pose", you can quickly determine reach, you can grab his arm or wrists or do some hand traps or parrys, and really sets you up well for a fight ending straight or elbow combo, The only thing I don't like about muay thai is a very static stance sucks vs multiple opponents (I mean you're screwed either way right?), you still need to know some wrestling and or BJJ and you need to adapt your stance (bladed more like a boxer is better), drills and guard for the streets.
